Lancaster Three Bridges 10K

Martin Courtney jumped at an opportunity to escape the company of his large northern family (too much sitting around drinking tea and endless chats about shopping… ) to run the Lancaster Three Bridges 10k on the first May bank holiday weekend.

Wymondham 20

It was a windy, cool and at times, sunny morning for the Wymondham 20 mile race. The usual two-lap course was filled with competitors mostly preparing for their upcoming spring marathon.

Fenland 10

Windless conditions and an extra hour in bed helped to attract a large field, including 15 Ely Runners, for the Fenland 10 in Wisbech, which incorporated the County and EMAC 10 mile Championships.

Breckland 10K

Breckland is a pleasant low key event on quiet roads surrounded by forest. It is a fast course and although the first 2K is mostly uphill, the final 2K is invitingly downhill.

Bere Pen 10K

Ely Runner, Ross Payne was in the Cornwall/Devon area for Bank Holiday weekend. Whilst there entered the Bere Pen 10K – described as a scenic ‘3 down, 3 up’ road run around the Tamar Peninsular.

Boston Marathon (UK)

The inaugural Boston Marathon (UK) took place on Sunday 17th April. No qualifying times or airfares were needed, just the ability to get yourself up the A16 to Boston College.

Wymondham 20

In it’s 22nd year, this is a medium sized open race is used by many runners as a training or fine tuning event for London, others taking on the unique challenge of a 20m road race.
